The Department of History at Reed College invites applications for a one-year appointment as visiting assistant professor in 20th Century U.S. history, with a focus on race, ethnicity, and/or indigeneity, for the 2021-22 academic year. Candidates with an interest in transnational or global approaches to these topics are especially encouraged to apply. The position carries a 3-2 teaching load over two semesters. Teaching responsibilities also include advising yearlong senior theses in History, and participating more broadly in the department’s academic programming and intellectual life.
