Description
The University of Pennsylvania announces a search for an assistant professor in Korean Studies to begin July, 2021. The successful candidate will take up a primary appointment either in the Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations (EALC) or the Department of History.
Requirements for the position include a doctoral degree by July 1, 2021, from an East Asian, History or other relevant humanities department with a specialization in Korean Studies, native or near-native fluency in Korean language, publications in Korea-related fields, and excellent teaching credentials. We seek a candidate fully committed to cultivating a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive scholarly environment. Applicants with strongly comparative and/or transnational interests are especially encouraged to apply.
