The Department of History at St. Olaf College seeks to fill a full-time, one-year position at the level of Visiting Assistant Professor beginning in August 2020. Candidates will be expected to teach a Latin American survey and offer topical or thematic courses at the introductory and/or intermediate levels. We are open to a range of subfields, but teaching expertise in environmental, colonial/immigration, trade, and identity formation in Latin American history are particularly welcome. Applicants should be committed to teaching at a liberal arts institution and have a Ph.D. in a relevant field (ABD considered).
The Department is particularly interested in applicants who will continue to contribute to our diverse community and broaden our curricular offerings.
