The Department of History at Florida International University is searching for a tenure track Assistant Professor in digital history. Area of specialization open, but ability to teach courses in modern United States History is desirable. Candidates in cognate fields are welcome to apply. We strongly encourage historically underrepresented minorities and people with experience in teaching diverse student populations to apply. The position is tenure-earning and includes opportunities for course releases from the standard 2-2 load based on scholarly productivity, enrollments, curriculum development in the digital humanities, and a role in training students.
FIU supports multiple programs related to digital history and the humanities, including the Green Library’s Digital Scholars Studio and one of FIU’s Emerging Preeminent Programs, the Wolfsonian Public Humanities Lab (WPHL).
