Description
The Department of History at Amherst College invites applications for a full-time, two-year position in modern German/central European history at the rank of visiting assistant professor, beginning July 1, 2020. The successful candidate will demonstrate competence and sensitivity in working in a department in which students are broadly diverse with regard to gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
The field of research specialty is open. Demonstrated excellence in classroom teaching and mentoring of students are essential. The teaching load is two courses per semester.
