The Department of Middle Eastern, South Asian, and African Studies at Columbia University is seeking applications for a Lectureship in Sanskrit and Tamil. This is a limited term appointment for one year with the possibility of renewal for a second year and third year contingent on satisfactory performance. Teaching duties include elementary and intermediate Sanskrit every year, and elementary and intermediate Tamil in alternate years. The search committee encourages applications from candidates whose teaching and service to the field will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the department and the university.
