Utah State University's History Department seeks applicants for a nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in US History at the USU Eastern campus in Price, UT. We are looking for a creative and energetic faculty member whose responsibilities will include teaching (including broadcast, online, and/or face-to-face delivery); scholarship; collaborative program coordination; and service to the university and community. The role assignment is 70% teaching, 20% service, and 10% research (3-3 teaching load). Applicants should have a PhD in history or closely related field with specialization in US History and public history. In addition, the department is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in environmental history, labor history, Native American history, digital humanities, and/or Utah history. This position will be physically located at USU Eastern in Price. Review of applications will begin December 15, 2019, and will continue until the position is filled. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2020.
