~~The Social Sciences Department and Interdisciplinary Studies program at Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas invite applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track position (with the possibility of renewal) in the field of history, to begin August 2020.
This instructor will teach a 4/4 load of history courses, of which two will be online classes that contribute to the Interdisciplinary Studies (IDS) course demand. The possibility of summer courses is open. The successful candidate will teach both halves of the United States History survey as well as upper-division classes that complement the needs of the History and IDS course offerings. Because office hours and in-person courses are part of this position, the candidate will need to be available on-campus at least part-time. Responsibilities will include service, such as advising and recruiting.
Applicants must possess a Master’s degree (or the equivalent) in history with their primary focus in American history; all sub-disciplines are open.
