The Department of History at Middle Tennessee State University seeks applications for two tenure-track faculty positions. One in the history of race, gender, and sexuality in the Americas (#126360), and one in the history of South Asia (126020), both at the rank of assistant/associate professor. These positions begin August 1, 2020. Applicants must have a terminal degree in History or closely related field by appointment date.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach surveys of U.S. History (126360) or American History surveys (126020), as well as undergraduate and graduate courses in the candidate’s area of specialization and will have the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students in our nationally recognized public history program. An active research agenda is expected.
