The Department of History at the University of California, Riverside invites applications for a position in Mexican American/Chicano History at the level of Assistant Professor, tenure- track beginning July 1, 2020.
We welcome applications from scholars who explore the intersection of histories on both sides of the border, understood as a political but not cultural barrier and as an historical space that engages two national histories. Area of specialization and period open. Qualifications: Candidates must hold or anticipate a Ph.D. in History by July, 1, 2020. They must have a documented record of research and teaching excellence or exhibit the potential for research and teaching excellence. We welcome candidates who also participate in the dissemination of historical knowledge to broaderpublics via diverse channels.
