The Department of History and Political Science at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a full-time, fully benefited, non tenure-track position at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor in United States History after 1877, beginning January 2020 and extending through May 2021.
Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in history by time of appointment; have demonstrated teaching success, preferably in a liberal arts environment; and have the capacity to teach both halves of the U.S. survey and a wide range of upper-level courses in US history after 1877. Interest in contributing in the areas of public history and undergraduate research is especially welcome. This position has a 4-4 teaching load.
