19th Century U.S. History. The Department of History at the University of New Hampshire is seeking applicants for the position of tenure-track assistant professor in the history of the United States between 1800 and 1877. Scholars of African-American history are of particular interest. The ability to teach the history of the U.S. Civil War and Reconstruction is essential. Applicants will be expected to teach introductory, upper-division, and graduate courses in American history and one General Education survey per year.
Applicants are expected to show promise of scholarly excellence as well as a commitment to teaching at every level, from introductory surveys to advanced undergraduate and graduate courses.
