Ball State University’s Department of History is accepting applications for a tenure-track faculty position in African American history with primary specialization in U.S. history since 1877 available August 2020.
Minimum qualifications: ABD; Ph. D. from an accredited institution; must be completed by August 10, 2020; must have active research agenda in African American history since 1877.

Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in modern African American history; teaching experience at the college or university level; interest in using digital approaches that help distill historical meaning from texts and artifacts, and in public history and public engagement.
