The Department of History in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Louisiana State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in US Antebellum Southern history. We welcome applicants working in all subfields. Eligible candidates should be prepared to teach the US history survey as well as upper division and graduate courses in their area of specialization.
- Teach graduate or undergraduate courses and hold regular office hours. Supervise graduate assistant(s) if assigned.
- Maintain an active research agenda with regular publications.
Ph.D. in History, specializing in the early nineteenth-century; evidence of excellence in teaching and scholarship.
Teaching load of two courses per semester; salary competitive and commensurate with qualifications. The appointment begins August 2020.
