Position: | Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor |
NYU Shanghai is currently inviting applications for a position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor in Global Public Health. We seek candidates who have completed a doctorate in an area of public health science, population health and health disparities, urban planning, or a closely related applied field, including the social science disciplines. The specific area of research focus is open, however candidates with interdisciplinary interests that include social epidemiology, social determinants of health, including the role of gender and sexuality in health, or mental health will be given priority. Shanghai is a dynamic urban environment, and as such, candidates with an active research program in China and/or Shanghai or the Western Pacific region as well as research in urban health more broadly, are particularly desirable. Candidates with teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels are especially encouraged to apply, and those with experience teaching introductory courses will be given special consideration.
Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a statement of research and teaching experience and interests, and electronic copies of up to five relevant publications.
Terms of employment at NYU Shanghai are comparable to U.S. institutions with respect to research start-up funds and compensation, and they include housing subsidies and educational subsidies for children. Faculty may also spend time at NYU New York and other sites of the NYU Global Network, engaging in both research and teaching.
Review of applications will begin on November 1, 2019 and will continue until the position is filled.
