Pitzer College seeks applicants for a tenure-track position, at the level of assistant professor, in U.S. and North American environmental history. We are interested in candidates whose work engages such areas as environmental health, racial justice, racial capitalism, urban life, and forms of resistance. Time period of a candidate's research is open, inclusive of colonial histories. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to innovative approaches to introductory courses as part of the curriculum in U.S. history in the Claremont consortium of undergraduate colleges.
