The Department of History at the University of Texas at Austin seeks a scholar at the beginning or advanced Assistant Professor level for a full-time tenure-track position with specialization in any area of the history of Texas and/or the U.S.-Mexico Borderlands, the contiguous area on either side of the current border between the U.S. and Mexico.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop a strong research program, direct graduate research, produce demonstrated evidence of successful research productivity, and exhibit a commitment to service to the department, college, and university.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in History or related field in hand by the date of appointment.
