The Department of History at Rollins College invites applications for a tenure-track professor of Latin American history position beginning August 2020. All specializations are welcome. The department is especially interested in scholars who have geographical or temporal breadth, including, but not limited to, transpacific or transatlantic history or the history of the African diaspora. We are interested in candidates with experience teaching as a sole instructor and the ability to teach introductory and topics courses. All professors at Rollins College teach regularly in the general education program. The teaching load is a 3/3.
- PhD in history in hand by August 2020
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence, preferably in the liberal arts
- Verifiable teaching experience
- Capability to offer political, social, and economic-themed courses
- Ability to contribute to, help foster, and sustain a diverse and inclusive learning and working environment at Rollins.
