Brandeis University seeks a visionary Director to lead and develop its Hornstein Jewish Professional Leadership Program. The Hornstein Program, a unit of the Graduate School of Arts of Sciences, is a master's level dual-degree program combining intensive academics, meaningful fieldwork, and international study seminars to prepare leaders for the 21st-century Jewish community.
The Director will oversee departmental operations, the curricula, and student recruiting. The Director is central in working with Hornstein’s university and community partners. The Director will lead the continued evolution of the program and the development of new educational options, platforms and strategies. We seek a leader with the ability to administer a complex professional program. The ideal candidate will possess educational vision and administrative expertise, as well as deep knowledge of Jewish communities and organizations around the world. The candidate must be able to work with diverse groups and bridge the cultures of academic and of professional practice. We welcome applicants from the full spectrum of Jewish communal leadership backgrounds. The Director will hold a (non-tenure track) faculty appointment, with rank open depending upon qualifications.
