Online History Grader
|Institution Type:||College / University|

OnRamps is a dual-enrollment initiative at The University of Texas at Austin that provides Texas high school students the opportunity to “experience college before college.” OnRamps offers Texas students dual enrollment courses designed by The University of Texas at Austin faculty via a distance education model. Our mission is to increase the number and diversity of students who engage in learning experiences aligned with the expectations of leading universities.
OnRamps History Assessment Team affiliates grade a two-semester series of college assignments for one or more sections of approximately 30 high school students enrolled in the college course. Assignments include one timeline-based assignment, one midterm, and one final exam per semester. We deliver timely and thoughtful feedback and scoring using Canvas SpeedGrader. Affiliates must attend scheduled virtual training and calibration sessions with UT Austin course staff and use OnRamps-provided rubrics.
If you have experience teaching college-level history courses, or a minimum of 18 hours of graduate-level coursework in history or a related field, you are qualified to apply for a position with us. Our pay rate is $16/hour for new Graders, and all work can be done remotely. Click the application link below for more information.
