Administrative Specialist, Program Coordinator

The newly established Center for the Advancement of Students and Alumni (CASA) at Georgia State University seeks to hire an Administrative Specialist to assist with its new Humanities Inclusivity Program (HIP). The CASA supports undergraduate students and alumni as they progress toward graduate and professional programs. Funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation (2019-2021), the HIP program funds and supports undergraduate research fellows from underrepresented groups in their efforts to enter doctoral programs in the humanities. The Administrative Specialist will divide his or her time between HIP and CASA initiatives. Job duties range from coordinating research assistantships, leading and/or participating in professional development workshops, career panels, and symposia, to designing and maintaining web-based and individualized communications between various stakeholders at Georgia State partner institutions, to assisting with scheduling, program evaluation, and hosting speakers.

Preference will be given to candidates who have a doctoral degree in a humanities discipline, quantitative and digital literacy skills, and administrative experience.
