Georgetown University, Department of History, seeks a Visiting Assistant Professor for the academic year 2019-20, in the field of Russian and Eastern European History. The successful candidate will teach a 2-3 load (two courses in Fall, three in Spring). Fall courses are the survey of Russian History through the 18th Century and the survey of Eastern European History through the 18th century. Spring courses include the survey of Modern Eastern European History (from the late-18th century forward) and two upper-division courses, on topics determined by the candidate in consultation with the department. The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand by July 31st, 2019. Review of applications will begin immediately.
