The History Department at Dickinson College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in East Asian history, beginning August 2019. Dickinson College is a highly selective four-year, independent liberal arts college with 2300 students. It is located 20 minutes west of Harrisburg and is a two-hour drive from Baltimore, Washington DC and Philadelphia. Applicants should be prepared to teach a five-course load for the academic year, to include an East Asian history survey, a course on China, and three other topics courses. The ability to create inclusive learning environments for an increasingly diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate.
