Visiting Position in Latin American History

The History Department at Macalester College seeks to fill a sabbatical replacement position in Latin American History, for the 2019-20 academic year.
Quality teaching is a priority as the successful candidate will teach five courses. These will include Introduction to Latin America & the Caribbean, Indigeneity in the Americas, and Transnational Latin Americas. Candidates will also offer two courses in their field of specialization with topics determined in consultation with the department. Candidates with all specializations within Latin American history will be considered but special consideration will be given to candidates with the ability to teach indigenous history in a comparative perspective.
