An outstanding junior scholar with an interest in public humanities is sought for a postdoctoral fellowship. Based at the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs and working with Professor Timothy Snyder. Position for one year, with a possibility for two renewals.
This position is split evenly between research and public outreach. For half the time, the fellow will be working on her or his own project, as defined in the application. For the other half, the fellow will work on outreach and planning involving book publishing, television and other media, and public events.
Applicants will be recent PhD recipients and will have completed their degree before beginning the fellowship. A doctorate in history or a related field and a facility with languages required. The fellow will remain in residence through the duration of the fellowship and contribute to the intellectual life of the Jackson Institute.

Salary: $57,000 plus $3,000 for research expenses. The fellow will be housed in the Jackson Institute and will have an office.
