The Department of History at Mount Holyoke College invite applications for a full-time, visiting lecturer in Chinese history to begin Fall 2019. Candidates must have teaching and research competency in Chinese history, and be able to teach a survey course and topical courses on East Asia. A doctorate in history (anticipated or acquired) is required. This is a one-year, non-renewable teaching position with competitive salary and benefits.
Visiting faculty at Mount Holyoke teach five courses per year, of which one will be HIST 137 Modern East Asia, 1600-2000 in Fall 2019. The successful candidate will have experience teaching students who are broadly diverse with regard to race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, gender, nationality, sexual orientation, and religion.
