The Montana Historical Society seeks an energetic and talented person to work as an Associate Editor. If you have a passion for Montana and Western History, this position may be for you! The Associate Editor responsibilities include assisting with the production of press projects; editing and proofreading magazine and book manuscripts;researching, fact checking and writing a wide variety of copy materials; maintaining tracking systems for press and magazine projects; and publicizing Historical Society press books and working with historical photographs.

Qualifications
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in history, literature, journalism, or a related liberal arts field and three years of related experience in magazine, book, or publishing. Experience in manuscript editing, professional writing, and knowledge of Western history preferred.
