The Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies will award four post-doctoral fellowships, $30,000 each, for the academic year of 2019-2020: two Zvi Yavetz Fellowships and two Thomas Arnold Fellowships.
Candidates for a Zvi Yavetz fellowship should present a letter from a member of the Zvi Yavetz School of History, willing to serve as their sponsor. Candidates for a Thomas Arnold Fellowship can also be sponsored by a faculty member of the department of Jewish history at Tel Aviv University. Fellows are expected to reside in the Tel Aviv area. Tel Aviv University PhD holders are not eligible.
Candidates must have received their PhD at an accredited institution of higher learning no earlier than 1 October 2014 and no later than 1 October 2019. They are to submit proof of receipt of PhD, three letters of reference, CV, a short description of their proposed post-doctoral project, a writing sample, and an endorsement letter from the faculty member willing to sponsor them.
Recipients are required to participate in the activities of the School of History.
