The Department of History and Political Science at Ashland University (www.ashland.edu) seeks applications for a tenure-track position in American History. Rank and historical period are open, though strong candidates with a specialty in early American History are especially welcome. This position reports directly to the Department Chair.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in and a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and advising in a traditional liberal arts setting. The department emphasizes political and intellectual history and the use of primary texts in all courses. The opportunity to teach graduate courses may also be available.
A completed PhD is required.
