Director of Cornell's Adult University/Mgr. Program II Cornell's Adult University (CAU), a department within the School of Continuing Education and Summer Sessions (SCE), offers weeklong summer programs on the Cornell campus and unforgettable travel adventures around the world, all designed and led by top-notch Cornell faculty. For four weeks every summer, approximately 450 adult participants explore subjects ranging from gardening to art, politics, science, math, and world affairs with Cornell experts. An equal number of children (ages three to fifteen) participate in CAU's outstanding residential and commuter youth programs, which combine engaging educational activities with all the fun of a great camp. In addition, CAU offers about a dozen domestic and international study tours a year for adults as well as special educational tours for families; in 2018, more than 280 alumni, friends, and families participated in these education vacations. CAU's director reports to the SCE deans and partners with them to develop programmatic goals and strategies in support of CAU's mission to engage alumni, parents, friends, and the extended community through lifelong learning opportunities.
