Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor in Comparative Literature
The Department of Comparative Literature at The Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a three-year, full-time non-tenure-track position in Comparative Literature, to begin in August 2019 with excellent possibility of renewal. Appointment will be as Assistant Teaching Professor or as Lecturer according to qualifications. Responsibilities include teaching three undergraduate literature courses per semester (to include world mythology, along with other courses such as drama, cultural studies, and/or global media as need arises) and supporting duties on behalf of the department. Requirements include a Master's degree or equivalent in Comparative Literature or a related field, and relevant teaching experience. Preferred qualifications include ABD status or a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature or a related field, fluency in a language in addition to English, experience with curriculum development, and experience with online teaching and online course development. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and includes benefits.
