COLONIAL or REVOLUTIONARY-era UNITED STATES HISTORY The Department of History at the University of Memphis invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor, with a specialty in Colonial or Revolutionary-era United States history, starting in Fall 2019. Ph.D. required by the time of appointment. Successful candidates will possess a strong research agenda and good teaching skills.
Initial review of applications will begin on November 19, 2018, and may continue until the position is filled. We plan to hold preliminary interviews at the annual meeting of the American Historical Association in Chicago, January 3-6, 2019.
