The Department of Humanities at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in US Women, Gender, and Sexuality History beginning August 2019. Preference will be given to candidates whose work fits within the larger context of Transnational/Borderlands or emphasizes Latinx History. The successful candidate will have a teaching load of 3/3, including two sections of their preferred half of the U.S. Survey each semester, as well as undergraduate upper-level and graduate courses in their field and area of specialization. Candidates are expected to be quality teachers, scholars, and citizens of the academy. Required materials: a CV, cover letter, list of three professional references including name, address, title, telephone number, and email addresses, a writing sample of approximately 30 pages, evidence of teaching experience and effectiveness (syllabi, portfolio, teaching review, student evaluations, etc.), and unofficial copies of graduate transcripts. Confidential letters of recommendation will be requested after the application is submitted. PhD in history is required; advanced ABD considered, degree must be conferred by August 2019.
