The Department of History at Elizabethtown College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Modern Europe to begin July 2019. We particularly welcome candidates whose teaching and research interests take a diverse or global perspective.
As well, we seek candidates whose expertise complements, rather than duplicates, the Department’s existing strength in French history. Candidates should be able to contribute survey courses to the College’s Core Curriculum program as well as upper division sections in their specialty area. The Department is especially interested in attracting faculty committed to dynamic and innovative classroom instruction.
The typical teaching load is 3-3, and faculty are expected to involve students in high-impact practices such as research and internship whenever possible. Additional information about the History Department is available at http://www/etown.edu/depts/history/.
Required Qualification: Ph.D. in history must be completed by summer 2019.
