Assistant Professor of Sociology, in the study of China

The University of Michigan College of Literature, Science and the Arts (LSA) is seeking to appoint a Sociologist whose research and teaching is focused on the study of China. The position will be a joint appointment between the International Institute and the Department of Sociology. The candidate will be housed in that academic department and that will be their tenure home. This is a university year appointment effective September 1, 2019.
The candidate must be an expert on China and committed to further research, study and instruction of China-related topics. Candidates with diverse areas of specialization and methodological approaches are encouraged to apply. The position is at the assistant professor/advanced assistant level.
