The Department of History at Columbia University seeks to hire a scholar at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor in the field of twentieth-century U.S. political history to begin 1 July 2019. The successful candidate will teach, in addition to areas of personal interest, core U.S. history courses on such topics as the Progressive Era, the New Deal, Postwar United States, and so forth. Advanced assistant professors will be considered.
The successful applicant will show evidence of innovative scholarship and experience with teaching and advising, and have the Ph.D. in hand by 1 July 2019.
