The History Department at Boston College seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in Modern Latin American History. All regional, topical, and methodological specializations will be welcome. We also encourage applications from scholars with a range of chronological foci, provided that their work emphasizes the post-Independence era. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in History by 31 August 2019.
In addition to pursuing an active research program and making other contributions to our intellectual community and to the profession, the successful candidate for this position will be expected to teach four courses each academic year that encompass a balanced mix of undergraduate surveys suited to the departmental and university Core curricula; electives; and graduate colloquia.
