The Department of International Affairs in the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in the broad area of National Security and Diplomacy. The Bush School of Government and Public Service has built an outstanding faculty who are looking to hire a collegial Assistant Professor. We are broadly open to a candidate’s regional/topical area of international affairs specialization. Bush School faculty exclusively teach master’s degree graduate students in international affairs in a standard 2-2 load. The successful candidate will be expected to teach at least one section of the required course in introductory-level empirical methods. We have a preference for candidates who would also be able to teach U.S. foreign policy. Additional information about the Bush School and department is available at http://bush.tamu.edu.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Political Science, History, International Relations, Economics or a related discipline by September 2019. The individual selected will have demonstrated a strong commitment to teaching and research in the context of a public policy graduate school environment. The start date for this position will be September 1, 2019.
