This role is full-time and fixed-term from 1 October 2018 - 30 September 2019.
The Department of History at Durham University invites applications from outstanding candidates for the post of Lecturer in European History c.1000-c.1500 (fixed-term).
Applicants must demonstrate research excellence in the field of European History c. 1000-c. 1500, with the ability to teach our students to an exceptional standard and to fully engage in the services, citizenship and values of the University.
The role is available for a fixed term for 12 months, and has arisen due to Len Scales’ success in winning a Leverhulme Research Fellowship.
The post-holder will be responsible to the Head of Department, currently Professor Sarah Davies.
Successful applicants will, ideally, be in post by 1 October 2018. It is not anticipated that this period would be extended beyond the initial fixed term.
