Lecturer of Film and Visual Culture
One-Year Appointment
Spelman College seeks teacher/scholar dedicated to excellence in teaching and to the continued enhancement of the academic environment for students and colleagues. The Department of English invites applicants for a one-year appointment at the rank of Lecturer, beginning August 2018. Applicants should have the ability to teach film, television, and visual culture history and theory courses, as well as first year composition.
Requirements
Applicants must have experience teaching at the undergraduate level. Particular attention should be given to African American women’s and global media productions and traditions. This position will have a 4-4 course load.
Qualifications
A Ph.D. or be ABD in an appropriate discipline.
