The History Department at the University of Nevada, Reno, invites applications for a full-time, two-year Lecturer position in early modern European history to begin in the fall of 2018. Principal responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester, advising senior theses, and working with graduate students as needed. Teaching responsibilities include upper-division period courses in early modern European history, survey courses in Western Civilization, other courses in areas of interest, and participation in university-wide Core Humanities courses.
A PhD in History with an early Modern European history emphasis is required. The preferred area of interest is early modern British history with a social/cultural focus. Specialization is open. Candidates must have completed their PhD by July 1, 2018.
