The School of English, Film, Theatre and Media Studies at Victoria University of Wellington invites applications for the permanent position of a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Theatre, to begin during or before January 2019.
The Theatre Programme is seeking an energetic and collegial appointee able to teach large introductory courses and direct student productions as the Programme adopts a practice-based approach through most of its offerings. While the area of specialisation is open, ideally it would complement the Theatre Programme's current teaching and research profile. See https://www.victoria.ac.nz/seftms/about/staff#theatre
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Theatre, a record of scholarly productivity, and the capacity to teach a broad range of introductory and advanced Theatre courses (including Honours) in an area of his/her specialisation, and also to supervise research at Masters, MFA and PhD levels.
