Assistant Lecturer in French in the School of Modern Languages and Cultures (Ref.: 201800524) (to commence on August 1, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to performance and availability of funding)
Applicants should possess a relevant Master’s degree with proven expertise in the teaching of French to non-native speaking L2/L3 learners plus at least 3 years’ experience in teaching French at all levels in tertiary education and fluency in English. They should also be familiar with recent trends in language teaching and assessment methods. International experience especially in Asia would be an advantage. The appointee is expected to teach a range of language courses at various levels; contribute to the production of learning material; and design various procedures of assessment.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
