The Department of History and International Studies invites applications for an Assistant Professor of History with specialization in Diplomatic/International History starting fall 2018. Candidate must hold a Ph.D. in History (or a closely related discipline) OR a Master's degree in History (or a closely related discipline) combined with professional experience commensurate to a doctorate. Required specialization is in U.S. Diplomatic History/Foreign Relations with a preference for additional specialization in Asia, the Asia-Pacific region, or the Middle East. Candidates must be qualified to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in US Diplomatic History as well as both undergraduate and graduate courses in additional area(s) of specialization. The successful candidate will contribute to our undergraduate programs in history and international studies, as well as our BS and MA in Diplomacy and Military Studies.
