PART-TIME VISITING LECTURER IN HISTORY AND AFRICANA STUDIES
2018-19 ACADEMIC YEAR
Scripps College, a women’s liberal arts college with a strong interdisciplinary tradition, invites applications for a part-time Visiting Lecturer position in U.S. History with specialization in African American history for 2018-2019. The position requires teaching three courses, including African Diaspora in the U.S. to 1877 in Fall 2018 and African Diaspora in the U.S. since 1877 in Spring 2019. The remaining course will reflect the visiting professor’s specialty. Ph.D. preferred, ABD will be considered. Evidence of teaching experience and teaching excellence are required. Preference will be given to applicants with a commitment to the College’s goal of improving higher education for underrepresented students.
