The Heidelberg Center for Transcultural Studies (HCTS) at Heidelberg University is looking to appoint a full-time “Akademische/r Mitarbeiter/in” (equivalent to Assistant Professor / Maître de Conférence) within its Department of Buddhist Studies.
The assistant will be expected to teach in the framework of Bachelor and Masters programmes (2-4 hours per week per semester), to support the professor for Buddhist Studies in research, teaching and supervision of students, and to assist in organizational and administrative affairs. Candidates should be prepared to discuss their own ongoing programme of research.
The position will initially be for three years, with optional extension. The position should be filled by April 1 2018. The salary corresponds to level TVL-13 of the German public service salary scale.
