Postdoctoral Fellowship/African American Urban. Postdoctoral Fellow, Center for Africanamerican Urban Studies and the Economy (CAUSE). The Department of History at Carnegie Mellon University seeks a scholar in the humanities and/or social sciences doing history-related research in African American urban studies. The fellow will pursue his/her own research project; interact with faculty, graduate and undergraduate students; and collaborate with the director on current center projects. The appointment is for nine months beginning August 15, 2018 through May 15, 2019. The fellowship carries a stipend of $50,000, plus benefits, and $5,000 for research and other professional expenses. The proposal should include a project description, chapter outline, explanation of the significance to relevant fields, and plans and goals for the fellowship term.
