The Department of History at St. Joseph’s College, NY invites applications for a tenure-track position in history at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in August 2018. We are seeking applicants who are trained in a field other than United States or Europe. All categories and specializations in the field of non-western history are welcome, although particular consideration will be given to candidates able to teach courses on Latin America, colonialism, or other transnational or comparative perspectives. The successful candidate will also demonstrate ability to explore issues of diversity within their subject area. The successful candidate will participate in co-curricular programming and be expected to teach on both the Brooklyn and Long Island campuses of the College.
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in hand by start date; experience teaching and advising undergraduates.
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in one or more of the following: digital humanities/history, public history, teaching online.
