Diversity and inclusion have been and will continue to be integral components of Villanova University’s mission.~~The Augustine and Culture Seminar(ACS) Program seeks scholars in the Humanities to apply for three (3) full-time, continuing non-tenure track assistant professor positions, starting in Fall 2018. These appointments will initially be one-year appointments, and followed by renewable three-year appointments (based upon successful evaluation, and at the University’s sole discretion).
We welcome applications from experienced teachers/scholars who can both complement and broaden our current interdisciplinary faculty working in the disciplines of Literature, Theology, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Classics. ACS explores a wide and diverse range of significant voices through human history, and we seek applicants who are interested in exploring how those voices can join in fruitful conversation with our Catholic, Augustinian tradition. We particularly welcome applications from teacher/scholars in the following areas:
• African American Studies
• Medieval Studies
• Early Modern Studies
• Islam, Judaism, or other global religions in dialogue with Christianity.
