The Department of History and American Studies at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Modern European History, focusing on the long twentieth century, to begin August 2018. The successful candidate will offer graduate and undergraduate seminars in their area of specialization as well as the second half of the Western Civilizations and World History survey courses. Faculty teach five courses per year and are expected to maintain an active research program and contribute to our intellectual community. We are particularly interested in candidates who specialize in the areas of imperialism and/or globalization during the long twentieth century. The successful applicant will show evidence of innovative scholarship and experience teaching and advising a diverse student body. Ph.D. must be completed by August 15, 2018. Application deadline is January 15, 2018.
